Scenic Helicopter Tours is taking applications for our 2019/2020 tour season. Our pilots fly a mix of Robinson R44, Bell 206B, and Bell 206L model aircraft, which is dictated by flight experience. Employees must relocate to the Gatlinburg Pigeon Forge/Sevierville area for the duration of the tour season. Our company operates under FAA part 91, doing flight seeing operations in and around the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. As well as flight duties, our pilots are expected to fill in positions as needed in our photo department, as well as our boarding attendant crew and sales staff.
FAA Commercial Helicopter (Rotorcraft) Certificate
Current FAA Class II (or higher) Medical Certificate
R44 SFAR 73 sign off required, even for hired turbine pilots
Min 500 hours Rotorcraft PIC
Min 100 hours PIC Robinson R44
Turbine applicants must have a minimum of 100 hours PIC in Bell 206 aircraft, or 250 hours turbine PIC
Must have an accident free record
Must have a customer oriented attitude and be able to work well as a team member, as well as an individual
Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident at time of application
Certified Flight Instructor rating (CFI) in R44
Completed the Robinson Safety Course
Prior tour experience
Prior customer service/ sales experience
A&P with Robinson or Bell experience
