Job Description
Make a Difference When it Matters Most.

Using your skills as a professional pilot to give someone their best chance of survival on the worst day of their life is unique to the HAA industry. Few aviation careers are as rewarding or impactful.

If you’re passionate about flying, possess a safety-first mentality, and want to make a genuine difference in your community, HALO Flight would like to meet you.

Many HAA pilots are fully capable of flying IFR but spend their careers limited by VFR-only aircraft or programs. If you’re tired of weather turnarounds and being grounded when you’re fully qualified to continue the mission safely under IFR, come put your instrument skills to work.

Every aircraft in our Bell 407GXi fleet is equipped with the IFR Configuration Kit, so every aircraft you fly—including the spare—is IFR capable. If you’re qualified but not currently instrument current, IFR training may be available for highly qualified candidates.

A Fleet You’ll Enjoy Flying

Are you tired of flying aging aircraft with inconsistent equipment and configurations? At HALO Flight, every Bell 407GXi is maintained to the same high standard and configured identically, giving you consistency, familiarity, and confidence every time you step into the cockpit.

As of mid July 2026, our fleet total times are:

· 3,068 hours

· 2,350 hours

· 2,222 hours

· 717 hours

· 275 hours

· 138 hours

We’re continuing to invest in our fleet with a brand-new Bell 407GXi already on order and scheduled for delivery in May 2027.

A modern, standardized fleet simply provides a safer, more professional, and more enjoyable flying experience.

Pilot Incentives

At HALO Flight, we believe retaining exceptional pilots is just as important as hiring them. Once you become part of our family, we are committed to investing in your long-term success.

What We Offer

· $65,000 progressive three-year retention bonus for all new pilot hires

· Competitive salary commensurate with experience

· Additional compensation for SPIFR qualification, Instructors and Company Check Pilots

· Substantial five-figure annual merit bonuses based on Airmanship, Safety, Teamwork, and Technical Proficiency

· On-duty pilot housing

· Choice of 7/7 or 14/14 schedules

· Career advancement opportunities, including SPIFR, Instructor and Company Check Pilot training

We recognize that experienced HAA pilots are in high demand. At HALO Flight, you’ll never be treated as just another seat to fill. We value professionalism, reward performance, encourage new ideas, and strive to create an environment where talented pilots want to build long-term careers.

Job Summary

Pilots are expected to:

· Operate company aircraft safely and professionally in accordance with FAA regulations, Operations Specifications, the Rotorcraft Flight Manual, General Operations Manual, SOPs, and company policies.

· Monitor weather, obtain flight briefings, coordinate with Operational Control Specialists, and brief flight crews.

· Demonstrate sound aeronautical decision-making and disciplined risk management.

· Maintain a safety-first mindset in every operation.

· Support medical crews and maintenance personnel whenever appropriate.

· Maintain aircraft, pilot housing, and work areas in a clean and professional manner.

Why HALO Flight?

HALO Flight is different from many HAA operators because we’re intentionally small enough to know every employee by name while continuing to grow and invest in our people.

You’ll work alongside experienced professionals who value teamwork, integrity, continuous improvement, and exceptional patient care. Company gatherings, community involvement, and professional development are all part of the culture.

If you’re looking for more than your next flying job—if you’re looking for a long-term aviation home where your experience is respected and your contributions matter—we encourage you to apply.

Come help us serve the communities of South Texas and make a difference when it matters most.
