Job Description
 Columbia Helicopters, Inc., headquartered in Aurora, Oregon, owns, operates, and maintains
its fleet of Columbia Model 107-II Vertol, Columbia Model 234 Chinook, and Columbia CH-47D
Chinook aircraft worldwide. We are currently hiring talented A&P Field Mechanics.
 
FIELD MECHANIC OVERVIEW 
Our Field Mechanics get to travel anywhere across the United States or around the world to support and maintain our fleet in operations such as Aerial firefighting, oil and
gas support, forestry and stream restoration, infrastructure, and charter services.
Job Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintaining the aircraft to ensure airworthy conditions
  • Performing maintenance on ground support equipment
  • Travels with assigned aircraft
  • Performing flight mechanic duties as scheduled
CORE MINIMUM QUALIFICATION 
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Valid FAA Airframe and Power Plant Certificate (exception may be allowed for students enrolled in a 14 CFR Part 147 school and are scheduled to test for the A&P certificate, OR for holders of completed FAA Form 8610-2 with A&P test scheduled
  • General knowledge and understanding of 14 CFR Parts 43, 91, 135, and 145
  • Ability to travel and work in remote and austere locations
  • Mission-centric and service-centric attitude; passion for what we do; confidence and  resilience
ADDITIONAL PRE AND POST EMPLOYMENT REQUIRED FOR A&P MECHANICS 
  • Must be able to work from May through October, 2022
  • Must have valid U.S. passport or ability to obtain one
  • Must be able to start work in May
  • Must be able to travel to Turkey in June
