MD 500 Helicopter A&P Mechanic

HVA, Inc. (A Ryker Company – www.rykerholdings.com) is searching for an exceptional Field and A&P licensed MD 500 Helicopter Mechanic to become part of a team that provides a critical service to the nation’s infrastructure.

HVA, Inc. is an Aviation and Transmission Line contractor that provides repair and inspection services to the electric utility industry working across the U. S. The maintenance department manager strives to provide the best working conditions for your success. Your focus will be to perform preventative maintenance and to engage in continuous improvement of the aircraft’s condition. The right candidate will have experience in maintaining MD 500s, is a self-starter, a problem solver, and can work well with all levels within the organization. We offer 21 days on / 21 days off schedule with most work being performed in the field with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on helicopter airframes and components, ensuring compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Utilize hand tools and precision measuring instruments to conduct inspections and troubleshoot issues.
• Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records in compliance with aviation standards.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain a valid Airframe & Powerplant License and stay updated on industry best practices.
• Maximize the availability and reliability of the aircraft and related equipment
• Professionalism and good character
• Time management and organization skills
• IA certification a plus
• Computer literate
• Care for your assigned maintenance vehicle and equipment
• Valid US Driver's License
