HELICOPTER MECHANIC:
Apex Helicopters, based in Florence, Oregon is seeking a full-time, skilled and experienced A&P mechanic for our FAA Part 91, 133, 135, 137 company helicopter program. Airframes maintained are AS350B-3 Astar and B206B-3 JetRanger helicopters.
This individual will have experience in shop / hangar maintenance, field maintenance and qualified for U.S. Forest Service / DOI carding to join our team. As a field mechanic, you will be responsible for the routine inspection, repair and overall mechanical upkeep of AS350 / B206B helicopters used for vital non-fire forest management, wildlife survey and wildland firefighting operations. When in the field, you will also provide remote site ground support as a fuel service truck driver.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure company maintenance is being conducted & recorded in compliance with 14 CFR Part 43 / 91 / 135 standards.
• Conduct routine and unscheduled maintenance in accordance with 14 CFR, USFS / DOI guidelines, contract specifications and safety standards.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, fuel and hydraulic systems to identify and rectify issues promptly.
• Perform inspections, repairs, and adjustments on aircraft components and systems, ensuring they meet the required specifications.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure efficient and timely completion of maintenance tasks, minimizing aircraft downtime.
• Document all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs and replacements, in compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
• Adhere to safety management protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Operate company vehicles in accordance with all applicable Federal and State DOT regulations.
• Fuel aircraft in accordance with DOT regulations and customer contract specifications.
