Job Description

 

ABOUT THE COMPANY:

In 1925 the J. G. Boswell Company planted in California’s San Joaquin Valley and grew to become one of the largest farmers in the world. Boswell produces, processes, and markets tomatoes, Pima cotton, and pistachios. The company has taken its farming tradition and enhances it through innovations in every step of the growing process and has developed many of the new techniques and equipment used in modern farming today.

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a dual rated pilot to fly both a King Air 250 and an ASTAR 350 (Part 91). Airplane duties involve flying passengers throughout the Western United States; helicopter duties involve survey flights, customer tours, passenger transport, and mountainous terrain flights around Central California.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

· ATP Multiengine Rating

· Commercial Rotorcraft Certificate with an Instrument Rating

· 3000 Hours Documented PIC Total Time

· 1000 Hours Multiengine Aircraft Time

· 500 Hours Multiengine Turbine Time

· 1000 Hours Helicopter Time

· 500 Hours Turbine Helicopter Time

· Current FAA 2nd Class Medical

· King Air and/or AS350 experience preferred

OTHER SKILLS/DUTIES:

These flying duties may also include coordination of ground transportation, hangar rental and fuel purchases. Transportation of the company and non-company personnel in helicopter for the following purposes:

· Tours

· Aerial photography

· Aerial surveying and observation

· Weed surveying and observation

· External load operations

· Cattle herding operations

· Transportation to other company locations and operations

Non flying duties:

· Aircraft servicing and preflight

· Aircraft preflight planning and performance

· Assist in overseeing maintenance of the facility hangars and runway

· Coordínate fuel balances and fuel deliveries

· Ensure aircraft navigation publications are current and updated

· Attend annual training class and simulator, for all aircraft flown

· Ensure aircraft and maintenance publications are current and updated

· Ensure all aircraft and facility bills are paid

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Associate or Bachelor degree preferred

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

FAA Airline Transport Pilot Airplane

FAA Commercial Rotorcraft with Instrument Rating

FAA 2nd Class Medical

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Flying will be based out of the company airport facilities located in Corcoran, California. Most flying is Monday through Friday, some evening and weekend flying as needed to support operations. There are occasional overnight trips throughout the year. As a member of the flight department, you will be one of four pilots supporting company operations.
