Helicopter A&P Requirements
We are looking for excellent candidates to join our team of mechanics in maintaining our fleet of helicopters. Our location offers helicopter flight training, Electronic News Gathering, and Government contract work in both reciprocating engine and turbine powered applications. This is a great adventure to start an A&P career, or continue developing your skills as you master rotorcraft maintenance. Benefits available.
Inspection Authorization, and Previous experience working under CFR Part 135 is a plus.
Motivated, professional: possess strong work ethic to stay on task. Self motivated, reliable and honest. Must be able to respect and take guidance from authority.
Pass DOT FAA Pre-employment drug screen.
Pass background check for Airport access/ escort and driving privileges.
Must be able to read, and comprehend aircraft maintenance manuals to perform maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and diagnosis
Currently hold, or expected date to obtain, A&P certificate. General, Airframe and Powerplant written tests completed.
Must have a basic set of tools for aircraft maintenance.
Ability to Physically perform climbing, stooping, stretching, etc…..for physical demands of the job including lifting 50 lbs. Proper attire and PPE will be required.
Some travel may be required and the work hours are typically, Monday-Friday days. Occasional extended hours or weekend work may be required as the job demands.
Assist Director of Maintenance with aircraft maintenance, scheduling of maintenance, and record compliance.
Ensuring a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Performing any maintenance-related tasks such as inventory management, developing and revising manuals and procedures, and research.
Keeping supplies ready by inventorying stock, informing supervisors when orders are low.
Citizenship, or Permanent Resident Visa is required because of operational requirements with FAA and TSA.
Must have a valid driver license.
