Job Description

Job Summary

Responsible for tracking all aircraft maintenance costs. Provides explanation of all variations from budget versus actual and utilizes data to accurately predict future aircraft maintenance costs. Assists in planning schedule and unscheduled aircraft maintenance as needed.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:

• Assist and supply Finance with explanations to variances to yearly aircraft maintenance budget

•Assist Finance with creation of yearly aircraft maintenance budget and monthly forecasts to fall in line with budget

• Analyze aircraft maintenance expenses to determine high dollar scheduled vs. unscheduled maintenance events

• Compare actual aircraft maintenance costs against budget monthly

• Review forecasted aircraft maintenance costs to assure proper implementation of cost updates. Work with VP of Engineering and VP of Maintenance on cost planning and execution to fall in line with forecast

• Review aircraft maintenance expenses monthly to determine improperly coded capital costs as well as managing events to keep maintenance within quarterly and annual goals/targets

• Assist in setting of Ramco forecasted flight hours for new to fleet aircraft

• Create 12 month maintenance forecast monthly and update 2-4 year forecast quarterly

• Publish the Power BI Monthly forecast update

• Prepare work packages when needed to assist planning of aircraft, M facilities and maintenance bases

• Publish 1 year and 5 year Hangar Plan

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1 to 3 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• One year certificate from college or technical preferred

• 1-3 years of aviation maintenance operations experience preferred

• Airframe and Powerplant License or equivalent military experience preferred


• Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to Part 135 and Part 145, Part 135 AAIP inspections

• Manages fluctuating priorities based on unforeseen process and resource challenges, defined projects and leadership prerogatives

• Planning work assignments, schedules and reviews work in progress

• Collaborates with various departments to develop statements of work, schedules and procedures

• Knowledge of maintenance planning and maintenance record keeping software

Computer Skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access

• Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI preferred
