Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for supervising the daily shop operations of a Safran Helicopter Engines Level 3 Maintenance Center. Ensures deadlines are met, while effectively communicating circumstances preventing such to management. Maintains records in compliance with FAA and company requirements. Provides quality oversight to technicians. Maintains premises of the shop facility in a clean and organized manner. Maintains equipment, tools and facilities in serviceable and working condition. Responsible for ensuring manufacturer instructions and company processes are followed. Provides feedback for process improvement. Coordinates shipping of parts and tools in support of field operations. Confirms that all required parts for work orders are ordered in a timely manner. Provides daily status updates to management.

Hours: Typically Monday-Friday day shifts, but must be available for OT as needed evenings/weekends

Travel: Some travel, as required

Physical: Must be able to lift 70#

Must be able to work in environment that is not temperature/humidity controlled

Must be able to work on your feet hours at a time

Job Requirements

Credentials: Current, valid A&P license with verifiable experience

Valid CA driver’s license

Must be eligible for DOD clearance

Experience: Experience with turbine rotor wing required – minimum 2 years

Experience with Airbus Helicopters and / or Safran Helicopter Engines highly desirable

Understanding and experience within a Part 145 repair station will be given preference

Verifiable leadership experience required

MS Office including Outlook, Word and Excel

Characteristics: Must possess honesty, integrity and a commitment to maintaining safe, compliant aircraft, as well as sound judgment and objectivity in decision-making. Must ensure aircraft are safely maintained in accordance with the Airworthiness Standards prescribed by applicable Regulations, Airworthiness Directives and Standard Practice.

Pay is commensurate with experience
