Job Description

 

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced and motivated A&P Mechanics to join our growing maintenance team. This role focuses on Bell 205A1++ field maintenance, supporting operations across the United States and internationally.

This is a travel-intensive position involving both short-term and extended assignments, including seasonal deployments in support of ongoing Forest Service and Department of Interior contracts. Job Requirements

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection, maintenance, and repair of helicopters and components in accordance with FAA regulations (FARs) and manufacturer maintenance programs
  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including:
    • Annual and 100-hour inspections
    • 300- and 600-hour inspections and more.
  • Remove, install, and replace major components, including:
    • Engines
    • Main and tail rotor blades
    • Transmissions and gearboxes
    • Rotor hub assemblies
  • Perform main and tail rotor track and balance
  • Execute component inspection, repair, and overhaul
  • Provide USFS/DOI contract maintenance support as required
  • Accurately document maintenance activities using digital tracking systems (Winair) and maintenance software
  • Plan and forecast upcoming maintenance events for assigned aircraft

Minimum Qualifications

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate (held for at least 12 months)
  • Valid U.S. Passport (or ability to obtain)
  • Minimum 12 months of helicopter maintenance experience
  • Minimum 12 months experience on a Bell 205A1 or completion of a manufacturer-approved maintenance course
  • Previous experience with Part 133 and/or Part 135 operations
  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations (FARs)
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in high-tempo environments
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current or previous USFS/DOI Carded Mechanic (Bell 205/212)
  • Factory training on applicable airframes and/or engines
  • Inspection Authorization (IA)
  • Experience with component overhaul, including:
    • Main rotor hub assemblies
    • Transmissions and gearboxes
    • Swashplate assemblies
    • Tail rotor systems
