Job Description

Currently seeking seasonal A&P mechanics for the 2020 USFS firefighting season. We operate the newest and lowest time Bell Medium helicopters which include a BHT 205A1++ and BHT 210 airframes, Currently the base is in California but being a national exclusive use contract there will be traveling involved.

 
Pay varies depending on experience, company pays a daily per diem and covers all housing requirements. Work schedule will be a 12 days on 2 days off rotation for the primary mechanic, the relief mechanic will work the two day rotation plus travel time and is also welcome to work back in Washington state on our other aircraft needs which include an AS350B2 and two other Bell medium aircraft.

Job Requirements

Job Duties:

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on BHT 205-A1++ and BHT 210

Maintain the aircraft to 135 standards

Your work environment will be in field conditions

Work as a team with the pilot and fuel truck driver to provide safe and airworthy aircraft for the customer

  

Qualifications:

Valid Drivers license

Valid A&P license

USFS Bell 205/212/210 cardable 

 

Skills Required:

Previous field experience

Experience maintaining BHT 205, 212 or Huey II aircraft

Motivated to work unsupervised

Strong attention to detail

Familiar with how to operate a computer including Microsoft Word & Excel 
 

Preferred Experience and Skills:

BHT 205/212 or Huey II factory training

Team player mentality

Strong electrical troubleshooting background
