Job Description
 

Airframe & Power Plant Mechanic
performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on helicopters and associated
aircraft ground support equipment, in accordance with manufacturer's
specifications and Federal Aviation Administration's regulations.  Work of
this class involves no supervisory duties or responsibilities. Incumbents
receive general supervision from an administrative superior. Employees in this
class work a conventional workweek and are subject to callback. Work is
performed outside in all weather conditions and in a hangar where incumbents
are exposed to noise, equipment with moving parts, chemicals and caustic
substances and materials, and requires safety and protective equipment. 
Work requires strenuous physical activity such as lifting, climbing and
bending.

Minimum Qualifications





EDUCATION: Have
graduated from an accredited high school or possession of a GED certificate.



EXPERIENCE: Have
three years of experience as an Airframe Powerplant Mechanic on
turbine helicopters.  Part 145 Repair Station experience is preferred, but
not mandatory. 



 



LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS: Must hold a current Airframe and Powerplant
Mechanic Certificate.
