Avionics Installer and Technician

Duties and Responsibilities

· Test and troubleshoot instruments, avionics components and assemblies using calibrated test equipment.

· Install and/or replace electrical components, assemblies, and systems in aircraft.

· Set up and operate ground and flight test equipment to perform operational checks and functional flight tests of electronic systems.

· Coordinate with supervisors and fellow technicians to ensure timeliness of work completion.

· Keep and maintain records of maintenance and repair work as required by applicable FARs and company procedures.

· Must be able to pass a DOT-FAA pre-employment drug screening physical.

· Valid driver’s license required.

· Must have sufficient experience to obtain a Repairman’s Certificate.

· 2+ years of recent experience in General Aviation Avionics preferred.

· Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and electrical equipment installation drawings.

· Excellent troubleshooting skills and solid knowledge of all aircraft mechanical and electrical system functions.

· Strong background in Garmin and Honeywell products.
