I. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
· This position requires the ability and/or willingness to work days, nights, weekends, scheduled days off, overtime, and to be on-call
· Full-time hours are Monday-Thursday 0600-1600 however, hours may vary based upon the need of the unit
· Call out is highly likely in this position due to the nature of the work
II. WORK CONDITIONS:
Indoor and outdoor environment, including aircraft hangar and shop work. Variable hours with some overtime required. Subject to being called out in emergencies as needed. May be outside in inclement weather.
III. QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Preferred Major(s):
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
· Helicopter maintenance experience within the last five (5) years
· Four (4) or more years of experience maintaining turbine powered aircraft
· Factory or equivalent training on the assigned make and model aircraft OH-58/Bell 206
· Must be knowledgeable of FARs, General Operations Manual, Safety Program, and assigned aircraft maintenance manuals
· Successful completion of any aviation or other related schools or training programs as determined by the agency
· Must meet recent experience requirement of FAR 65.83
· Any combination of education and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities
CERTIFICATION AND LICENSING:
· FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate required, IA Certificate preferred
· Current Airframe and Powerplant mechanics license issued by the Federal Aviation Administration
· Current, valid Florida driver license
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Able to use arms, hands, and legs to accomplish tasks
· Able to sit, stand, and squat for extended periods
· Able to climb with balance on and off aircraft
· See and hear at a normal range or with accommodation
· Speak, read, write, and understand English fluently
· Ambulate independently
· Lift/carry 50+ pounds
· Manual dexterity
· Drive a vehicle
