Assistant Chief Pilot

We are a part 141 and 61 flight school. We fly out of the sunny Long Beach Airport in Southern California. The right candidate will manage our team of CFI’s as well as train students seeking their Private through ATP ratings or certifications. You will also have the opportunity to perform air tours, aerial photography/videography, as well as our other exciting flight operations. We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude, that works well with people and that can lead by example.

• CFI required - CFII preferred
• Current FAA Class II (or higher) Medical Certificate
• R22 and R44 SFAR endorsement
• Robinson Safety Course in last 5 years
• No accidents or FAA violations in the last 10 years
• Must meet flight weight requirement of less than 200lbs
• 500 hours preferred
• The ability to track and manage maintenance intervals for our fleet of helicopters in accordance with applicable FAA regulations. Verifying all aircraft are clean and airworthy per FAA regulations.
• Administrative duties – Updating our aircraft maintenance board
• Updating company SOP’s as needed for assured safety, flight operations and aircraft handling
• Able to perform stage checks/ Emergency Procedures
• Manage our team of CFI’s
• Facilitate weekly all-hands meetings with CFI’s in regards to weather, student progress, continued learning and front of house business
• Facilitate audits of students progress with CFI’s
• Liaise with Chief Pilot for status updates
• Participate in performance reviews of CFI’s
