Full time position for Director of Operations for a medium Bell helicopter operator. Fire fighting experience required. Salary based off qualifications and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, and 401(k). Must be willing to relocate to Boise, Idaho.
For the first time ever, have at least 3 years’ experience, within the past 6 years, as pilot in command part 135 of this chapter, the experience may be obtained in either large or small airplanes.
In the case of a person with previous experience as a Director of Operations, have at least 3 years’ experience as pilot in command of part 135 operation.
Basic function: The Director of Operations (DO) is responsible to the President/Vice President for the Flight Operations Department, including training applicable to the FAR Part 133, 135, and 137 Operations and has the authority to act for the Company in matters relating to those functions. The DO needs to be knowledgeable of the entire contents of the Operations Manual, Operations Specifications, and FARs pertaining to Company Operation.
Ensures and verifies flight operations are conducted in accordance with applicable FAR's and Company regulations and policies. Ensures safe and efficient flight operations.
Maintain close liaison with FAA in all matters pertaining to flight operations.
Ascertain current status of flight operations.
Responsible for the safekeeping and disposition of Company operating records.
Maintain and distribute the Company Operations Manual and appropriate revisions to required personnel.
Ensures prompt reporting, filing, and follow-up action on required reports or certificates to appropriate governmental agencies.
Ensures that each person assigned to pilot company aircraft meets FAA standards for certification and currency and is a direct employee.
Responsible for implementing the Company's operational policies and procedures as directed by senior management.
Responsible for initiating, directing, and coordinating the schedule of aircraft for light operations with the Director of Maintenance and the Chief Pilot.
Assists in locating current and future employment for company aircraft and maintains weekly Biz Development Pipeline for senior management.
Provide relief and/or standard duty rotation for line pilots as needed.
Conduct evening and weekend on-call operations when scheduled.
