Job Description
Maritime Helicopters is currently accepting resumes for a full time field mechanic.
Position is primarily assigned to work at one of our remote bases on a rotation of 2 weeks on 2 weeks off. If  interested, additional work is available on your days off at one of our several bases throughout the state with transportation to/from and housing provided.
Field pay applies at remote bases: 10 hours a day while on shift. OT paid after 8 hours/day and after 40 hours/week. 
Work at primary base locations is not field pay eligible.
 
MUST LIVE OR MOVE AND LIVE IN ALASKA - PREFER NO COMMUTING TO LOWER 48 OFF SHIFT
 
Maintenance requirements include daily inspections, unscheduled/scheduled inspections, annual inspections and some light component overhaul work.
 
BENEFITS
Full housing provided while on job site.   
First 90 days in state, full housing with cooking facilities provided during time off with access to vehicles. 
Full housing and travel provided for company related business.
Job Requirements
Applicants must meet the following verifiable qualifications:
• A minimum 3 years of helicopter experience in the last 5 years.
• Maintained a Bell 206L Model series and/or Bell 407 in the last 5 years. (OH-58D model ok)
• Bell 212/412 experience preferred
 
Mechanics with the following verifiable experience will be given preference:
• 206L/407 shop, field and component overhaul experience.
• 412 experience.
• Eurocopter BO-105
• FAA Part 135 and Part 145 Repair Station experience.

We offer service across the entire State of Alaska from our bases in Homer, Fairbanks, Kodiak, Nikiski, Valdez and Akutan. We also operate a versatile helipad-equipped research vessel for marine-based support.

Maritime Helicopters is an FAA-approved Part 145 Repair Station and operates the only two Bell Authorized Customer Service Facilities in Alaska. Maintenance operations are conducted year-round at our Homer, Kodiak and Fairbanks heated hangar facilities under both FAA Parts 135 and 145.
